Jamie Oliver Great Britain Cookbook.

by Kate Jones

Jamie's Great Britain.

So after a few days of asking myself " Do I really need another cookbook?" and then "Do I really need another Jamie Oliver book?" I gave in and purchased the new Jamie Oliver book - Jamie's Great Britain.

I believe Jamie is a little like marmite - individuals love him, other folks not so much. I'm definitely in the love him group! And it is about time somebody brought out a book full of classic and great british recipes!

He regularly gets criticized for his actions but I for one think he does brilliant work making an attempt to better the health and diet of people thru his school dinners campaign and American food revolution campaign, and works very tough to make them work and more significantly he does it as he genuinely cares!

With over 130 recipes I just can't wait to begin on some - first off is tonights 'Empire Roast Chicken, Bombay Roasties and Amazing Indian Gravy ' which will then be followed on Sunday by ' Hearty Oxtail Stew, Spinach Dumplings & Creamed Horseradish'. The one I'm excited about the most though is Jamie's 'Nan's St Clement's Cake ' which looks and sounds delectable.

Jamie's Great Britain, is tied in with his new Channel 4 series and this together with Jamies ' acclaim, has him tipped have the fastest selling book this christmas for the second year running.

My family and I love him, love his TV programmes and his books. They especially love the leap in quality and variation in the meals that I now make preparations for them. My children even now have a love for salads! I have all of Jamie Olivers ' cook books and will probably continue to get them, as the ones I have are by far the most used, unclean with food splashes and quickest to follow.

This book is bound to be wrapped up under most families trees this christmas and rightly so! So i'd better go out and fill up on garlic, olive oil, chillies and rosemary - are they not staple ingredients a the majority of his recipes!
